Tram Luu is one of the few Vietnamese business women who found success in all that she do, whether retail, real estate, healthcare, or beauty. She is the founder of Camp Beauty and Wellness and has recently opened the new man’s health clinic OBMEN. In 2017, she was named Mrs. Universe and crowned in South Africa, then awarded Business Woman of the Year. What is the drive behind this extraordinary woman?
Rebuilding life in a foreign land
Born in Da Nang and emigrated to America at 16, Tram spoke almost no English. Facing all the language barrier, the young girl decided to re-enroll in an American high school even though she held a high school diploma in Vietnam.
After graduating, Tram chose Amarillo in Texas, a wild, cold, dusty place with harsh living conditions, as the start for her career. With her perseverance and fierce determination, she soon obtained impressive achievements in retail and real estate. She told Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, “There are always difficulties and problems in our work and daily life. Personally, I believe that everything happens for a reason. We should stay calm to face it and learn from it to mature”.
Becoming a beauty and aesthetic specialist
Even though Tram found success in retail and real estate, her true passion was for the health and beauty field. She decided to fulfill her ambition after finalizing her divorce 10 years ago, “I realized that it’s time to live my own life and pursue my lifelong dream”. She launched a medical spa focusing on anti-aging named Camp Beauty and Wellness, which combines the best Eastern and Western practices in beauty and aesthetics.
Recently, Tram Luu opened a men’s health clinic called OBMEN with the concept of Yin and Yang. She said, “According to statistics, men aged from 40 and above start having physiological issues. We hope our treatments will not only make them look younger but also feel better”.
During her career journey, Tram always thinks that the best way to succeed in work is “to devote our time and experience to support and satisfy our customers”.
A caring businesswoman
Despite being busy with her business in America, Tram Luu still regularly returns to Vietnam for charity. She frequently visits orphanages, gives children better dental care and treatment, along with many other meaningful activities.
Tram Luu’s future plan
This year, Tram Luu was awarded Business Woman of the Year at Harper’s Bazaar Star Awards 2022 for her great achievements and contribution to society. “It is my honor to receive this valuable prize from Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam. I am really happy to see what I have done is beneficial to other people. Hope that my journey will be an inspiration for everyone out there to pursue their passion”, she said proudly.
Currently, Tram Luu is working on developing a Korean Plastic Surgery Center in the West. She is also in the process of establishing an international medical tourism facility with unique treatments for visitors. Through those projects, she wants to use her knowledge and experience to make a positive impact in the world.
