Join us in an exclusive peek into the lives of three stunning and accomplished models, Tika Camaj, Laura Margesin and Fátima Cuéllar who have graced the covers of top-tier fashion magazines. In the following Q&A session, they share insights about their unique paths, serendipitous encounters, and the unforgettable experiences that unfolded during a recent photoshoot adventure.
HBZVN: Tika Camaj, Laura Margesin and Fátima Cuéllar, you are all beautiful and successful models, with your photos gracing the covers of numerous fashion magazines. Were you acquainted with each other before meeting at a joint photoshoot? Which country do you consider your homeland? How would you characterize yourself in a single word?
TIKA CAMAJ: I had previously met Fatima when she joined a project we collaborated on with Chopard in Cannes. I admire her energy. As for Laura, we had come across her on social media and believed she would perfectly align with the vision we had. I am myself Albanian from Montenegro, and I would describe myself as unique.
LAURA MARGESIN: I encountered Tika and Fatima for the first time during the photoshoot. This experience encapsulated what I cherish most about my role as a model: traveling to enchanting locations, immersing myself in new cultures, and connecting with inspiring individuals. Italy is my homeland, and no matter how extensively I travel, it will always hold a special place in my heart. I would describe myself as peaceful.
HBZVN: Can you share details about the project that brought you together in New York? Did you carefully consider the decision to participate, or did you agree right away? Additionally, have you ever interacted with horses in a photoshoot or worked with other animals before?
TIKA CAMAJ: We shot this photo story in Puerto Rico, an awe-inspiring location where we embarked on a hike to a river surrounded by natural rock formations to capture some of the shots. During our time there, we also had the opportunity to visit Carabali Rainforest Park and a horse ranch, which graciously allowed us to incorporate their horses and ranch as part of the backdrop. This marked the first occasion for all of us to work with horses in a photoshoot.
The experience turned out to be truly enchanting. While setting up for one of the shots, two horses spontaneously entered the frame and posed for the photo. The situation left us all in awe of how it all came together!
HBZVN: What image did you bring to life according to the script? Were there any elements of improvisation, perhaps leading to funny or unusual situations? Which filming moments remain vivid in your memory, and what proved to be the most inspiring?
FÁTIMA CUÉLLAR: Our goal was to construct a scene featuring horses while showcasing standout pieces from Versace and Paco Rabanne. In one particular shot, we had to navigate rocks and traverse a river with waist-deep water—an adventurous endeavor that ultimately came together amazingly!
HBZVN: Did you develop a bond with the horses, and how would you assess the experience of filming alongside these noble animals? What emotions and impressions did this evoke in you, and can we say that the horses influenced the dynamics of the filming?
TIKA CAMAJ: Comfort levels varied among us in terms of interacting with the horses. Laura had the opportunity to ride one during a shot, and Fatima engaged in petting and interacting with them on multiple occasions. The moment that significantly influenced the filming dynamics occurred when horses unexpectedly joined us in the river where we were shooting. The alignment of nature with the shoot, coupled with an amazing team that harmonized seamlessly, generated such positive vibes and emotions for everyone on set that day.
HBZVN: How personally connected do you feel to the atmosphere of New York? Are there any favorite places you’d like to mention? Also, how did you celebrate the completion of the collaborative project?
LAURA MARGESIN: We found that New York City provided an ideal setting for a celebratory dinner for our photo story, and we chose our newfound favorite restaurant, Meduza Mediterrania, located in the meatpacking district. To mark the occasion, we organized a gathering with all our model and influencer friends who happened to be in town.
HBZVN: Do you have any future projects in the pipeline that you’re eager to collaborate on? Perhaps even venturing into starring roles in a Hollywood blockbuster?
FÁTIMA CUÉLLAR: Absolutely, we have definite plans to continue working together in the future! We’re currently in the early stages of planning a few fashion projects, and having a role in a Hollywood blockbuster is undeniably on our bucket list!
