XIN (or Liu YuXin) was not born under a normal star. XIN is definitely one of the brightest stars in the music sky. Music fans around the world are in love with this 25-year-old rising star.
XIN has amazed the audience since the age of 10 when she started learning street dance. She specifically focused on popping dance techniques and has also performed a variety of dance styles, including popping, locking, Krump, urban, hip-hop, jazz, house, waacking, contemporary, and swag in different dance competitions and shows.

Past experiences almost built up through various competitions
XIN first gained recognition as a contestant on the Chinese television talent show Up Young! in 2012. She became the only winner to win the “Most Upward Teenager.”
At the age of 17, XIN started songwriting and participated in a girl group “Lady Bees” and made her debut as a center of the group.

As a singer, her hit songs such as “Hot Party” and “Biu Biu” have gained the heart of millions of people.
From Hunan to Shanghai to all over China, she has worked and tried her best to complete all of the challenges in life just to pursue her dreams and reach her ideal Xanadu.

Passion and effort
For XIN, she believes that effort will take you to where you want to go. Breaking through and challenging oneself is the routine of her daily life. Whether it’s the new styles that she has never tried before or breaking through existing boundaries in music and dance styles, XIN faces challenges with passion and bravery. Working hard is definitely XIN’s top quality. She told Harper’s Bazaar, “I’m a workaholic person. Even when my body is relaxing, my brain continues working.”

XIN’s love for fashion
The cool girl is also the new generation’s fashion idol. She has demonstrated a modern woman’s confidence and independence with her unique fashion style. “Personally, fashion is always what I’m into. I’m super interested in clothes or accessories. And I love creating my own looks,” XIN explains.

Her ideal place called XANADU
On December 11th, 2021, XIN received the Best Dancing Singer Award at TMEA Festival. She released XANADU at the end of 2021 to start her new journey as a solo singer. XIN described her first full-length album, “XANADU is a dancing album which is composed of 10 songs, 10 kinds of dances, and 10 music videos. It’s a story-telling music movie. Each song has a strong connection with the others. Also in XANADU, I made some combinations of music of Chinese ethnic minorities and pop music.”

In her new album, XIN is not only the singer but also the songwriter and music producer. The 10 songs continuously visualize the XANADU in her heart: the traditional Chinese ethnic elements in her hometown of Guizhou, the Yi language, the Miao Embroidery, and silverware. XANADU also includes hip-hop and pop arrangements she learned during her journeys: her dreams and life, her 10-year longing for home, etc.

The concept of XANADU is extremely bold. XIN has unexpectedly successfully integrated elements such as music, dance, color, ethnicity, and original ecology. Traditions and modernity alternate between fantasy and reality. The 10 different styles require music and dance to complement and achieve each other. The cool girl smiled, “I hope you’ll like it [the album]!”
At the end of our conversation, we asked XIN, “What’s the keyword of your current life?”. She simply said, “Enrichment”.
