A Preview of The Last Garment
Jingu Jun has been exploring the narration and depth that personal style provides to a character. He went to school in a small town in Pennsylvania where he had to wear a uniform like others every day. He wondered why he saw each person differently even though they were wearing the same thing.
After high school, he moved to New York and he was shocked by everyone wearing distinctive styles. However, he could hardly understand people’s true identities hidden behind the trends. After graduating from FIT, he created The Last Garment. It is an organization dedicated to helping others live a selfhood lifestyle. He launched his latest collection “Collection #00: Prologue”, a preview of The Last Garment.
He utilizes fabrics as his primary medium to create wearable sculptures designed for individuality, confidence, and lifestyle. For the Sleep Coat #01 in this collection, he died raw fabric with a natural dye technique to get the fabric and color.
