Raquel Pelissier was in the wedding gown designed specifically for her by Jovana Louis.
Miss Universe Haiti, Raquel Pelissier, 1st Runner-Up Miss Universe 2016, has begun a new chapter of her life. “I could never have imagined my long and exciting journey would start in 2023,” she said. Having met the love of her life on a full moon night, she said ‘I do’ three years later on the enchanting island of Ibiza. This new chapter in the union fills her with love and gratitude.
This wedding gown was designed to reflect her own unique style and personality. Specifically, she envisioned a handcrafted dress. The masterpiece was then created by Jovana Louis, a talented designer. Pelissier and Jovana Louis collaborated on this chic dress that perfectly captured Pelissier’s vision. Jovana meticulously crafted a design that would enhance Raquel’s confidence and showcase her elegance. Raquel Pelissier worked closely with Louis to ensure that every aspect of the dress reflected her personality. Additionally, the wedding gown made a bold statement.
About Jovana Louis:
The love of sewing and design was passed on to Jovana Louis Benoit by her aunt as a child in Haiti. In order to pursue formal fashion studies, she headed to Paris. Yet it was during this time in Hanoi that she began her creative journey. Jovana is a perfect picture of beauty and elegance. She has the slender silhouette of a 5.11-foot model. She had the challenge of finding ready-to-wear clothing in Vietnam that was suitable for her height and fitted her style. The difficult situation she found herself in led her to embark on a personal journey of designing her own clothing. She used the textiles of her native country Vietnamese with the vibrant rhythms of the Caribbean. She became an instant hit with her creations which had a tremendous impact on the wedding gown she created for Raquel Pelissier.
